Ulla Hirvelä

Fascinated by new technologies in the ever-changing digital environment, I am specialized in data protection and technology law. I joined the Privacy, Technology & IPR team at Fondia at the beginning of March 2021. Prior to Fondia, I worked for a big4 company where I led numerous data protection-related engagements for both multinationals as well as smaller enterprises. I hold the CIPP-E certificate.

I am especially interested in data protection issues surrounding the world of marketing and social media. I am currently also completing my studies in the intellectual property program at Hanken School of Economics, focusing on liability issues of online content service providers.

One of my greatest passions is traveling to far and exotic places and hopefully, I can continue it soon. Otherwise, I love to ride horses and spend time in the countryside all year round.
