Tanja Heinonen
I joined Fondia in 2023 after having spent five years as an in-house counsel in a global energy management and digital automation company with operations in more than 100 countries. Before that, I spent more than 15 years as a lawyer and partner in one of Finland’s leading business law firms, specializing in dispute resolution and contract law. I provide the kind of legal services I would like to buy myself - pragmatic, understandable and to the point. Having been both a buyer and a provider of legal services before Fondia gives an understanding of the client’s situation and perspective.
My speciality is dispute resolution and I have assisted clients in litigations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations and mediations and acted as an arbitrator in Finland and Sweden. Also, as a lone in-house counsel I provided legal support to all functions on everything from a variety of contracts and negotiations to competition law, public procurements, HR matters, marketing, data protection, corporate law to compliance, so I am used to dealing with a broad range of matters. In particular, I have experience in construction and project contracts.
I have minimized my spare time by having on the one hand a family consisting of husband, two school-aged children and dog and on the other hand a summer house on an island in Tammisaari, all of whom I love spending time with. I like travelling and when doing so always carry a book with me. My wish list includes more yoga and jogging.
