Maarit Niemistö

I joined Fondia in January 2016. My expertise is in business legal agreements, especially purchase and construction agreements (incl. principal contractor duties, statutory obligations of the contractor), consumer law as well as data protection (privacy). I have been involved in domestic and international construction projects and equipment supplies. I assist customers on their day-to-day data protection matters, drafting data protection documentation and evaluating the adequacy of the data protection level within the customer company. I train both contract and privacy law matters pragmatically. I have a CIPP/E certificate.

Before joining Fondia I worked as an in-house counsel in the Finnish stock company Rautaruukki Corporation (SSAB).

I spend my free time with family and friends. Enjoy doing handicrafts, reading a good book, and playing the piano.
