Parmaco in its current form started its operations in 2012. We loan our customers portable buildings that have been specifically designed for them, such as schools and day-care facilities. Hiring our own lawyer was not a sensible solution for us, and we had heard about Fondia, who first assessed our legal affairs and then provided us with a good proposal for further action. That’s how our LDaaS partnership with Fondia started.
Parmaco has expanded rapidly, and Fondia has kept up with our growth really well. When we set up sister companies in Estonia and Sweden, we received all the assistance we required from Fondia’s Tallinn and Stockholm offices. We started from zero, but were able to get everything in order. In Estonia, for example, we had to take care of notary and company set up matters, as well as land purchase and building contracts.
With Fondia’s help, we’ve dealt with public procurement, employment law, and company law related matters, as well as complex contracts, among other things. Our partnership with Fondia has been very flexible and worked well.
We want to be flexible and progress quickly, so we need our partners to react quickly too. Sometimes things can be on hold at first, but when we press the button, things begin to happen. Fondia adapted easily to our work rhythm. I really value their ability to respond quickly.
We receive a co-ordinated legal service from Fondia. One email or phone call from us, and things will move forward immediately. Our contact at Fondia is always able to direct us to the right expert for each situation, and they offer expertise across a wide range of specialist legal fields. Finding the right person would be too time consuming for me during hectic times.
We also have longer-term development projects with Fondia; we are considering, for example, contract templates, but assistance with urgent matters is most important. For us it’s easy when we have one partner through which all legal assistance is available.
We are pretty selective about our partners, it’s important to us that our business is understood. The Fondia team and especially our contact are already familiar with our business, and this understanding continues to grow as we work together.
We regularly hold meetings with various partners. I appreciate the fact that sometimes discussions are actually held around a table. Fondia also has an office here in Tampere, so meetings can be held quickly, promoting the collaborative spirit.
