Fondia has assisted us with dozens of legal matters during the active development of the Nordic Morning Group’s structure and service portfolio – particularly in relation to M&A. According to our strategy, we have sold off parts of our business and invested in the rapidly growing digital communication sector. Furthermore, Fondia has helped us on matters regarding contracts, real estate and personnel.
An additional reason why we selected Fondia was the fact that it is a Nordic company. The Nordic Morning office is located in Finland, but two-thirds of the income is derived from Sweden. It feels natural to start projects in Finland but lawyers on the Swedish side who speak the same language and have knowledge of the local markets are also needed. This enables us to create joint teams.
The cooperation with Fondia has worked really well. The lawyer of Fondia’s transaction team has been of excellent assistance on M&A related matters and has carried out her duties in a very impressive and reliable manner. As the pace of a transaction project gathers speed you need someone who can simultaneously observe every direction and is able to ask questions from a broader perspective.
Fondia’s approach to matters is both flexible and solution-oriented. I also appreciate their enterprise culture. As a lawyer myself, I can say that lawyers usually tend to overcomplicate simple things whereas Fondia aims to solve matters instead.
