Navigating Greenwashing Rules Under EU Law
New EU-level rules on sustainability and environmental communications are entering into force. The Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition (EMPCO) Directive significantly tightens requirements for environmental and sustainability communications across the EU.
At the same time, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) adds new compliance layers that apply in addition to the new greenwashing rules.
