Pessi Honkasalo
I am developing smarter ways of doing business law. I have more than 10 years of experience in counseling businesses in sectors including ICT and tech, healthcare and life sciences, and media, entertainment, and creative industries. I focus on business legal agreements, IPR and technology, and data protection, deploying modern tools and commercial acumen to provide meaningful advice.
Before joining Fondia, I was the general counsel of a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dual-listed on the growth markets of the London Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Nordic. Previously in private practice for several years with one of the leading business law firms in Finland, I have also studied the real-life implications of tough-nut-to-crack legal issues at some of the most prestigious research institutions worldwide. I have a Finnish law degree and a doctorate from the UK under my belt; in addition, I am a certified information-privacy professional in Europe and a country correspondent of the European Intellectual Property Review.
In my leisure time, I enjoy base jumping, freediving, and playing kabaddi – as if! When not goofing around with my kids, I try to do some sports and read a book or two.
