We were planning to divest a subsidiary in Finland and we decided to have Fondia undertake the task. We already had a long-term co-operation with Fondia and so we knew them and they knew us. We also wanted to have a legal company that would be really hands-on, meaning we could have an entire team working with us.
The co-operation with Fondia was really good. The atmosphere was very open and whilst there were some hiccups when we started, we sorted them out. Fondia´s lawyers were very proactive and business-oriented, as well as solution-focused. They were there each time that we needed them. We did not get advice on legal matters alone, but also in terms of the whole negotiation situation.
It has proven to be a good match. When choosing a business partner I need the relationship to be balanced. Fondia is not one of the biggest law firms and this means our company is important enough for them. Fondia´s lawyers have a very practical approach and straightforward attitude. They are highly cooperative with solid legal knowledge. They also know when it is pragmatic to bring in additional expertise.
