What is Fondia Incubator?

Fondia Incubator is a selective program where we invite 1–2 startups to work from our Helsinki city centre office and receive focused legal and business-minded sparring. The purpose is to help founders build a strong foundation early, so growth can happen with clarity and confidence.

Each startup gets dedicated workspace and becomes part of our everyday environment at Fondia. You will have a named lead lawyer as your primary point of contact and an open line for practical guidance within the program scope. And yes, you can also chat with Fondians over great coffee at our Café.

Applications are open year-round. We review them on a rolling basis and speak with shortlisted teams as we go.

The next selection round takes place in January 2027, when we will choose the next startup to join the program. The working period at our Helsinki office begins in the spring 2027, and we will confirm the exact start date with the selected team. More info will be published closer to the selection round start.

How much legal support is included?

Each incubator startup will have a dedicated lead lawyer as the primary point of contact, plus weekly Sparring Coffees held in person at our Helsinki office. This is designed as practical, founder-relevant sparring within the program scope — with clear boundaries and an open line for day-to-day guidance.

What if we can’t be in the office every day?

That’s okay. We’re open to hybrid setups, as long as your team can genuinely benefit from the in-office environment and commit to the weekly sparring sessions. We’ll discuss what a realistic rhythm looks like during the selection process.
